This is the last month that Xander is closer to one than two – how is this happening!? Month 17 has been incredibly amazing and his communication skills has taken off – in both sign language and verbal language. Here are all the fun details:
X’s new words are: hi, hot, cracker, tractor, Jesus, keys, eat, please, and thank you.
X’s new sings are: frog, fish, water, drink, cracker, please, hat, yes, cereal, potty, car, dog, train, farm, bird, and signing.
The sign language is the most adorable thing ever and I’m glad we put so much effort into it! It’s clearly paying off! He’s up to 24 signs total and surprises us with new signs all the time. When we were in PA over the weekend, my parents got to see him sign and I think they were pretty impressed too!
Xander is such a fun boy with a sensitive side too. He finally regularly sleeps through the night and he’s been doing well with having John put him to bed instead of me (we’ve been preparing since my weekend away is coming up). It’s hard to believe that next month he will be 1.5 years old!
Mommy and daddy love you X man!!
