Yesterday Lincoln turned five months old! This passed month has certainly been a whirlwind!! We moved a day after Lincoln turned 4 months old and then just a few days later we were headed to Pennsylvania for Lincoln’s baptism and Easter! He was baptized on Easter day during the mass – a super special experience for everyone!
He finally likes bathing! Now that it’s getting hotter out, we are doing baths more regularly due to sweat and general yuckiness. Our new house has a nice soaking tub in the master bathroom, so when it’s time for Xander’s special big bath tub night, Lincoln always gets included. Plus, we just wash him quickly other times throughout the week before Xander gets washed in his own bath tub.
He also love loves sucking on his hands, fingers, and wubby.
Right now Lincoln is in that transition of liking to be swaddled to fall asleep for bedtime, but then during his first wake up he’s unsaddled for the rest of the night. For naps he does about 50% swaddled and 50% un-swadlled. It’s a work in progress and one we are hoping doesn’t take too long to transition since he loves to belly sleep and spin and roll. Thankfully, he still sleeps with us in his mini crib in our bedroom, so we hear him if he ever gets stuck – which, thankfully, happens very seldom.
LL typically still likes to scream a bunch before bed, but once he gets to sleep, his night is relatively predictable. He has a wake up between 3-4 and then between 6-7. Sometimes he’s up for the morning after that second wake up… but if that’s the case, he goes down for his first nap within 60 minutes. He usually wakes up as happy as a clam though!
This age is really just the beginning of all the fun things is in store personality wise. He makes the best facial expressions and really let’s me know what he’s thinking…
This boys together continue to melt my heart… and make me laugh. Xander’s interactions can be so sweet and thoughtful at times, yet “omg, really little bro?!” at other times. I can’t wait until Lincoln is crawling around and chasing Xander! It brings me so much joy to see them together!
Hope you enjoyed this months update! If you have any questions, just let me know! I still need to create a dedicated page for Lincoln’s updates under the family page, but as you know, life has been a bit busy!!
