Picture overload time! Lincoln turned 9 months old!!
Stomach Bug and Sleep: This month sure has been a doozey. The beginning of his 9th month brought Lincoln’s first stomach bug (and the rest of the family) and his first trip to the ER too. We are so so so glad that that is all over with! After the stomach bug (well, prior to it as well) brought LL’s complete disdain for sleeping. We’ve been dealing with 6-8 wake up at night and taking almost 2 hours for him to even get to bed. SO, this month also brings sleep training. Sheesh, it’s hard, but he’s showing a lot of progress and perhaps I’ll write about it, perhaps not.
Stats and Food: Lincoln is now clocking in at 19 pounds 7 ounces (25-50%), 28 inches tall (50%), and 18.5 inches head circumference (95%). The percentages are based on the WHO (World Health Organization) growth chart. He’s growing great and loves his nursing. He’s slowly getting more into solids and doing well with hand held foods. We did try solids earlier but back to back sicknesses left him basically starting over on the solid train. He doesn’t like eating any foods off a spoon (can you blame him?) and his favorite foods are: sweet potato, banana, apple, and mum mums.
Baby Friends: I’m slowly starting to set up playdates for Lincoln. I feel like Xander had this whole network of baby friends already and so far Lincoln’s “friends” are whoever Xander plays with. I’m guessing this is just par for the course for the second child. But, I’m trying to remedy this and he’s met some babies and I’ve met some more mamas in the area!
- We did a quick trip to PA on Lincoln’s 9 month birthday. He did great in the car.
- Lincoln started swim lessons at the beginning of September.
- LL now fits in the red radio flyer car (pictured below) – makes our time outside even more fun!
- He sits in the tub like a big boy now.
Let’s all I can think of for his little 9 month recap! Let me know if you have any questions on his progress or development!!
We love you LL!!!
