As of today, December 13, 2011, I’m officially 25 weeks pregnant! Where is the time going!? Ohhh, I know, I spent the last week moving to Maryland. Below is the last belly picture that you’ll see of my in the old apartment — we took today’s belly picture (for use next week) on our new porch! Can’t wait to show it to you! On to the details of the week…
How Big is Baby: According to BabyCenter, baby Heddleston now weighs just over a pound and is almost a foot long — the length of an eat of corn. Baby probably gained around 4 ounces this week (I’ll have to take their word for it because I have no weigh-in for this week! See below).
How I’m Feeling: I am feeling great! I’ve surprisingly been great emotional and energy wise, considering this week had a lot of life changes.
How I’m Changing: John thinks I’m developing “pregnancy brain.” This is the forgetful-absentminded-spaced out side effect that sometimes happens to pregnant women. I would like to disagree on this one, but he says he’s been noticing it!
Weight I’ve Gained: Since I just unpacked my scale a few hours ago, there was no official weigh in. I’ll jump on it tomorrow morning to see if I’m on track!
Number of Workouts: This whole week has been a workout! Not to mention our townhouse is three levels and I now have stairs to walk up and down! I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t gain any weight this week.
What I’ve Been Eating: Thursday and Friday I had home cooked meals from my aunt and uncle (where I was staying). Saturday John joined us in Maryland and the four of us tried a new BBQ restaurant. From Sunday until now, John and I have been staying at the new place and eating what we have. I did make a small grocery run tonight though!
Next Doctor’s Appointment: December 20th! This will be my last appointment with my Cleveland-based doctor. We’ll head back up there while we visit John’s family for Christmas.
John’s Thoughts: I’m so glad we’re finally in our new house! There is still a lot of unpacking and organization to do, but I’m thrilled to be “home.” All this unpacking has also given me a lot of time to think about prepping the nursery for our little boy. We still have time, of course, but now that we are physically here, it’s a lot of fun to imagine how we want to set up his room. I’m sure his crib will look great in there; however we need to determine what kind of static cling decals/designs we want for the walls! I’d just like to add that it is so cute how excited John is about the cling decals for the walls — he seriously mentions them every other day!
