My husband laughs when I tell him I get visions.
But that’s exactly what happens.
We will have a room arranged a certain away for months on end and then, without notice, I get a vision of the correct room arrangement and must make it happen… RIGHT… NOW.
I didn’t even bother cluing John in on this Learning Area vision, as I knew I could handle this rearrangement with no help. This new area is definitely my favorite place in the house at the moment too. And even more awesome than having a new space organized, is seeing how excited the boys are to switch out their artwork on the new wall.
Heddleston Homeschool Learning Area Details:
- Cube organizer: IKEA Kallax Shelf Unit, Black-Brown – $64.99
- ART letters: Hobby Lobby, $29.99 original price but wait until they’re 50% off
- Clip boards: Target, $1.99 each
- Calendar: Lakeshore Learning All About Today Activity Center, $49.99 but you can sign up for text alert coupons
Note: we’ve had the cube organizer for years, as well as the awesome calendar. The vision was more about reorganizing the room and creating the art wall. I was also waiting for the ART letters to go back on sale. Once those were reduced, I spent just about $60 to complete the vision.
My biggest piece of advice when creating your space is to do it slowly, piece by piece, because you’ll change your mind a few times before getting the big A-HA vision. This is the fourth location for that cube piece and we’ve only lived in our new house 18 months. I think it’s found “its spot” now.
How do you display your kiddos artwork?
